Coronavirus Update 19.3.20
Please enter an introduction for your news story here.
As of Wednesday 19th March the number of teaching and support staff self-isolating has increased again, but we are still able to offer as normal a service as possible for our young people who are here.
We are awaiting further guidance from Midlothian Council following the announcement from the First Minister yesterday afternoon. We are also awaiting information from John Swinney Depute First Minister on the impact this will have on Senior Phase pupils and SQA exams. We understand completely that it is causing anxiety for pupils, parents and staff and we will communicate with you when we have more details. We all want the very best for our pupils.
A reminder of the year group rotation for home working this week is as follows;
- Thursday 19th March S2
- Friday 20th March S1
The staff team are working on support information for children and families, as well as frequently asked questions (FAQs) and parental information for GLOW. Pupils who worked from home yesterday have responded positively to the online learning that was available to them. Again, we will communicate with you when all of this is available. Please keep checking the school website in the first instance. Given the volume of information we are dealing with we have stopped posting on Twitter as we can’t keep up!!
In our updates we asked if you would complete an online form for us to help give us an understanding of which pupils are able to access technology at home. Many thanks to those of you who have completed this. For those of you yet to complete this the link is included below for information.
Many thanks again for your continued support.
