Pathology for Schools workshop
On 16th November 2016 four of our Higher Human Biology students accompanied by Mr Jones attended a ‘Pathology for Schools’ workshop as part of National Pathology week at the Dick Vet teaching unit, Easter Bush.
The students took part in a number of very hands on workshops including examining diseased organ specimens, a sheep post mortem and microscope work. The afternoon finished with a number of very interesting talks on the work of pathologists in both human and veterinary fields. All 4 students thoroughly enjoyed their time at the Dick Vet and gained valuable insight and experience into the world of pathology, applied Biology and Higher Education Science facilities.
