We have a very active Pupil School Council who meet regularly to discuss areas of the school which they would like to improve or raise any concerns about the school in an appropriate forum.
Each of the three houses; Hoy, Livingstone and Stevenson also have a House Council which meet to discuss issues raised by pupils within each particular house. This may be in relation to House activities and inter-house competitions. Each of the House councils are led by house leaders.
Developing the role of the student voice is currently a school improvement priority and is therefore under review. More information will be shared in due course.
Each of the three House Councils and the School Council will focus on informing a chosen prioritiy from the school improvement plan, this means that the pupils have a real opportunity to shape the way forward for the school and that they have a say in important aspects of school life.
The roles and responsibilities for the House and School Councils are outlined in the attachment below. Dates for the meetings for Session 2016-17 are also included.
